Our Story

Our Mission

Hi, I'm Lauryn. My journey began as a vet tech, where I witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking reality of beautiful dogs facing euthanasia. That experience ignited a fierce determination within me to save as many lives as possible. Here at Conrad's Canine Rescue and Sanctuary, we actively seek out "kill shelters" and rescue as many dogs as we can, getting them off the euthanasia lists. We provide them with loving foster care and comprehensive support until they find their forever homes. For those dogs with special needs or who require long-term care, we offer a dedicated sanctuary where they can live out their lives in comfort and safety.

What Makes Us Unique

We pride ourselves on our dedicated approach to rescue. Unlike many shelters, we are committed to providing a safe haven not just for adoptable dogs, but also for those with special needs or those who may not find homes easily. Our sanctuary program ensures that every dog, regardless of their background or medical condition, receives the love, care, and attention they deserve. We are most proud of the transformations we see daily – the scared, abandoned dogs blossoming into happy, trusting companions ready for their new families.

Making a Difference

Every dog that comes through our doors is a success story in the making. We provide them with necessary veterinary care, rehabilitation, socialization, and a nurturing environment. One particularly memorable success story is that of Max, a timid German Shepherd found abandoned and emaciated. Through patient care and dedicated training, Max has transformed into a confident, loving dog who recently found his perfect forever home. We strive to create these happy endings for every dog, ensuring they receive a second chance at a life filled with love and security.

"Conrad Canine Rescue and Sanctuary gave my best friend a second chance at life. Their dedication and love for these animals is truly inspiring."
